Description

Start your day with a bowl of creamy oatmeal topped with sliced bananas, chopped nuts, and a drizzle of honey. This comforting and nourishing breakfast option is perfect to fuel your morning, offering a blend of sweet and nutty flavors with a creamy texture.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups water (or milk of your choice for a creamier texture)
  • 1 ripe banana (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • 2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
  • pinch of salt
  • a dash of cinnamon (for extra flavor, optional)
Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, bring the water (or milk) to a gentle boil.

  2. Stir in the rolled oats and a pinch of salt.

  3. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer the oats, stirring occasionally, for about 5-7 minutes, or until they reach your desired consistency. If you prefer thicker oatmeal, cook for a bit longer.

  4. While the oatmeal is cooking, slice the banana and chop the nuts.

Set aside a few slices of banana and a small portion of chopped nuts for garnish.
  5. Once the oatmeal is cooked to your liking, remove it from the heat.

  6. Stir in most of the sliced bananas and chopped nuts, reserving some for topping.

Add a dash of cinnamon if desired, for extra warmth and flavor.
  7. Top each bowl with the reserved banana slices, chopped nuts, and a generous drizzle of honey.
